Kantishna Roadhouse

Welcome to the Kantishna Roadhouse, a full-service lodge located deep in the heart of Alaska's majestic Denali National Park & Preserve. We invite you to spend your Alaskan Vacation viewing Denali National Park’s wildlife and breathtaking wilderness while relaxing in our beautiful lodge. The Kantishna Roadhouse, located deep in the heart of Denali Park, features deluxe rustic cabin accommodations, all meals and snacks during your stay, abundant daily guided (and self guided) activities, and hosted evening naturalist programs. The lodge grounds also boast ample space to find either solitude or adventure.
The Kantishna Roadhouse has a longstanding Alaskan tradition of hospitality. The original roadhouse at Kantishna was built in the early 1900s, serving as a private residence, a community center, a post office, and informal accommodations for those who came visiting in Kantishna in Denali Park. Many nights were spent spinning tales of the trail over a hot cup of coffee and a hearty meal. You can still see the old log structure and other remnants of the past at the back of our property.
Today, we continue to talk of the trail, but in more modern and comfortable surroundings. Through years of hard work, Denali Park’s Kantishna Roadhouse has evolved from a gold miner's tent camp into a modern Alaskan resort with a rustic flavor.
Kantishna Wilderness Trails
http://www.denaliwildlifetour.com
Travel in comfort through the most scenic stretch of road in North America – The Denali National Park Road. Join us as we escort you in total comfort into the heart of Denali National Park on a full-day guided adventure 95 miles through Denali Park and into the Kantishna Historical District. Kantishna Wilderness Trails is a unique one-day trip. Our fleet of custom busses are spacious and comfortable, offering all of our patrons ample space to maneuver and take photos of Denali Park wilderness throughout the day of sightseeing. Our trips make frequent stops for wildlife, all points of interest, and of course...when nature calls.
Rather than stopping at the Eielson Visitors Center, which signifies the end of the park road for normal park bus trips, Kantishna Wilderness Trails takes our visitors to the end of the Denali Park road – an extra 30 miles through the Wonder Lake district to picturesque Kantishna.
Upon reaching Kantishna, visitors will be treated to a hot full lunch and guided activities at the Kantishna Roadhouse. Visitors will have several options to stretch their legs and relax or choose from an educational dog mushing or gold panning demonstration.
After lunch and activities, visitors will get back on the bus and make their way back through the park once again – gaining additional opportunities to see wildlife, Mt. McKinley and everything else that makes Denali National Park a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
